PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla., Dec. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- American Kiosk Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: AKIS) announced changes to its Board of Directors, the creation of an Advisory Board and completion of a $300,000 bridge loan.
In making the announcements, Richard J. Michael, American Kiosk Chairman, said, "The changes to our Board of Directors and the creation of an Advisory Board will greatly enhance our ability to raise capital."
Changes to the Board of Directors include the appointment of Larry E. Graybill and Randall S. Appel to replace Michael M. Morgan, Sr. and Robert Frasier on the Board of Directors. Larry Graybill has served as the company's chief financial officer since joining the company in June 1998. Randall Appel is the sole officer, director, shareholder and compliance officer of Strategic Assets, Inc., an NASD-registered broker-dealer in Melville, New York. He also arranged the $300,000 bridge loan.
Mr. Michael said, "We look forward to having these men on our Board; both have extensive experience in raising capital for growing companies like ours." Continuing, Mr. Michael said, "In addition to serving on our Board of Directors, Appel will act as an investment banking advisor, which we expect will ensure our working capital and business expansion needs."
The new Advisory Board is composed of Carl Tasch, President of Siegmeister Sales and Service, Inc.; Phil Arvidson, retired President of Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company of Martin, Palm Beach and Broward Counties; Colin Wright, President of PGA Resorts Company; and Ronald L. McDonald, consultant to the food industry and author of several books including: "The Complete Hamburger" and "Ronald McDonald's Franchise Buyer and Supply Guide."
The four Advisory Board members are also nominees to the Board of Directors and will be voted upon when the seats become available. Future Advisory Board appointments may include high-profile business leaders, industry experts and celebrities that can help the company achieve its goals.
