(Nasdaq: SLPT - news) today announced the next generation of Customer Premise Equipment (''CPE''), the S-310 CallerID and Voice Mail Manager. The S-310 is a sophisticated, yet easy to use, telephone accessory that builds upon SoloPoint's pioneering efforts in developing Voice Mail enhancement features by incorporating the new generation of CallerID on Call Waiting with Call Disposition services into one simple, compact unit. The S-310 is a complete call management solution that supports and simplifies a wide range of telephone company services, including: CallerID, CallerID on Call Waiting with Call Disposition, easy access push button Voice Mail Management, ''live'' Voice Mail call screening, and built-in message waiting indication. In addition, the S-310 integrates and simplifies the operation of the other popular network services such as Call Forwarding, Call Return, Call Waiting, 3-Way Calling, and Anonymous Call Rejection through simple one button operation. The S-310 Integrates and Simplifies a Wide Array of Telephone Company
Services
The S-310 is designed around a large, custom 4-line display that uses
oversized characters and an optional back lighting system to make it easy to
read from across a room. The display serves a number of functions from
guiding the user through the simple self-verifying setup process, displaying
up to 120 CallerID name and number records of recent callers, or displaying up
to 100 directory entries that can be dialed at the push of a single button.
The display, in conjunction with its display menu buttons, also takes the
mystery out of the operation of a variety of network services by prompting the
user through the process of activating a service using a single button,
instead of needing to memorize and enter complex "* codes". Uniquely
integrated with the display, the S-310 provides three "display menu" buttons,
which are labeled in the display and represent different menu options
depending on the state of the device. This greatly reduces the number of
buttons and labels on the device, something customers have demanded as
services continue to get more complex. Along with the large LCD display, the
S-310's space saving design features buttons that make it easy to access and
control common Voice Mail functions such as play, save and delete messages,
making it possible to manage Voice Mail in the same way as a traditional
answering machine. As with the existing SoloPoint S-100 Voice Mail Enhancer
and the S-210 Voice Mail Manager, the new S-310 gives consumers the ability to
"live" screen incoming callers. Users listen undetected through an audio
quality, built-in speaker as a caller begins leaving their message and, if the
call is of interest, they may pick up the telephone and take the call at any
time. The S-310 includes a large, bright message light that indicates when
new Voice Mail messages are waiting and the S-310 makes it possible to connect
a fax machine on the same line as Voice Mail.
Compatible with all major Voice Mail systems, the S-310 is truly compact, about the size of a 3'' x 5'' index card and sits next to the telephone where the user can conveniently make use of its CallerID and audible screening capabilities. Installation takes only a few minutes and is as simple as plugging in a telephone and following the simple on-screen set up instructions.

A Key Component of SoloPoint's Strategic Roadmap
The S-310 CallerID and Voice Mail Manager is the next generation of products supporting SoloPoint's strategic roadmap outlining key initiatives that focus the Company and its resources on value-added products that integrate directly with existing telephone services such as Voice Mail and CallerID. SoloPoint will utilize local and regional telephone service providers (RBOCs and LECs) as the primary channel to deliver the S-310 to consumers.
Along with the new S-310, SoloPoint also announced that volume production of the S-210 Voice Mail Manager has now begun. Market evaluation trials of the S-210 and S-310 products are actively underway at this time with a number of RBOCs and LECs.
