Sonki, I think the analyst games have begun as you had apprehended. The rationale for the downgrade is probably reasonable, however the timing is suspect. I suspect this will keep Sun stock in a trading range between 70 and 80 in the near future. Since practically all analysts rate SUN as either buy or strong buy even at these levels, I doubt there will be upgrades after the Dec 8th analyst meeting (most likely reiteration of buy ratings). I do suspect some will use the standard caution that management will express at the meeting as excuse to lower ratings so that their clients can get it a few points below.
