Re Dell options, I'd appreciate inputs from the experienced options traders on the thread.

I'm already (very) long on dell, accumulating since July. This is a long term investment, but I feel strongly that there is a great short term opportunity, as I believe they will post a strong earnings report for the quarter ending in January; the current consensus is .31, and nobody who would tell knows what the "whisper" is.

This being the case, I'm thinking of buying some Feb '99 calls, since they will still be alive at the time of the (expected) earnings run up. The sum of strike price and premium vary quite a bit. As of today, dlqbn (Feb. 70s) is at 6, and has the highest open interest. What would be the best play if I'm looking for leverage?

Hopefully the collective intelligence of the thread can help offset my obvious ignorance regarding options.

Frank
