Wrong, Dipy. Bush won as a centrist/centrist in 88. Bush won the nomination as a centrist in 92 before losing to the Perjurer. Dole won the nomination as a centrist in 96, before losing to the National Embarassment. Since when does a republican have to be a "rabid right-winger" to win the nomination? You are politically clueless.
