It looks as though I am talking to myself again, Oh well here is some more good news. Looks like they are bringing in a big gun for marketing!
SALT LAKE CITY--Jan. 15, 1997--Alpha Pro Tech Ltd. (OTC: APTD) announced today that Michael Scheerer, formerly with VWR Scientific Products, has joined Alpha Pro Tech Inc. as senior vice president sales and marketing.
Al Millar, president of Alpha Pro Tech, commented, "Alpha Pro Tech is fortunate to have attracted the management talents of Michael Scheerer. His addition to the management team will provide Alpha Pro Tech with the sales and marketing leadership the organization needs now that we have strengthened and expanded our manufacturing capabilities."

Before joining Alpha Pro Tech, Scheerer was employed by VWR Scientific Products (Nasdaq/NMS: VWRX) as Vice President Critical Environment Solutions and New Business Ventures. Scheerer moved to VWR from Baxter Healthcare Corporation when VWR acquired the Scientific Products and Critical Environment Solutions Divisions from Baxter in September of 1995.
While at Baxter, Scheerer most recently was the Vice President of Critical Environment Solutions. Over the last four years, Michael led the CES business to a position of market share leadership by moving the organization from a product focus to a customer focus. This fundamental sales process change positioned the organization as the market innovator in the development of new products and services, resulting in strong growth and customer loyalty.
Other important positions Michael held while at Baxter included, Director of Sales Development and Administration, and Region Manager. Prior to joining Baxter, Scheerer held various positions with American Hospital Supply Corporation in operations and field sales.
Scheerer is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where he was inducted to membership in Alpha Sigma Lambda and Beta Gamma Sigma, and earned his degree in Corporate Finance.
Alpha Pro Tech develops, manufactures and markets innovative disposable protective apparel products for the medical, dental, industrial, clean room and food service markets. The company has manufacturing facilities in Salt Lake City; Nogales, Ariz.; Janesville, Wis.; Valdosta, Ga.; and Benjamin Hill and Nogales, Mexico.
