Here is a synopsis of Wilsons own words: First on a Vivus press release dated July 8, 1998: "Vivus recognizes that the new erectile dysfunction market dynamics necessitate the infrastructure of a major pharmaceutical company in order to support a sales force large enough to effectively address the needs of the PCP. Towards this goal, Vivus will seek to partner with a pharmaceutical company with extensive experience and a broad reach into the PCP market in the U.S." vivus.com OK, this was the point where Wilson officially admits that his rental rep idea was a failure and that it was time to find a major pharmaceutical company to partner with. This was 5 months ago. About 2 months later Vivus announces the hiring of CS First Boston to help them negotiate a partnership deal. Vivus states that "Vivus management and its Board of Directors are in the process of reviewing alternatives that could enhance shareholder value." vivus.com Well since that date, Vivus share price has gone from above $5.00/share to below $3.00/share. This is certainly not my idea of an enhancement of shareholder value. Wilson has stated in the past conference calls that it is Vivus' goal and focus to sign a domestic partner by the end of this year and if my calender is correct, he has exactly 4 more weeks to either fail or achieve his goal. Four more weeks Mr. Wilson. That is all we are giving you. If you can't do it then step down and let someone who can do the job properly take charge.
