I took a ride in the company's electric vehicle today. It's a toyota RAV-4. Cost about $40,000. An eight hour charge will give you about 100 miles....even with the lights, defogger and heater on. (I'm not sure how much the A/C drains the batteries). I asked when this type of transportation will become a viable alternative to gas....the answer.... "In 3 to 5 years, a two hour charge will get about 250 to 350 miles" My questions to all: Do you buy Ballard Power systems as a hedge against oil??? Paulo
