HOW VIAGRA CAUSES HEART ATTACKS.

The VLAD has been wanting to write this post for some time now but never got around to it. If the VLAD thinks about Wilson he gets very stressed and upset. The VLAD feels more relaxed when he focuses on the scientific aspects of ED etc.

First of all I will briefly discuss an overview of cardiovascular disease in the United State. CVD is the number one cause of death in the United States. There are approximately a half a million deaths annually in the US attributed to CVD. The most common form of CVD is occlusion of the coronary arteries. The occlusion of these arteries occurs when fatty deposits build up on the inner walls of the coronary arteries and slowly calcify. This process, known as athlerosclerosis is the reason that individuals with high colosterol need to be conscious of their dietary intake. Low density lipoproteins are a known culprit of the fatty deposits being formed on the walls of the coronary arteries.

As the coronary arteries become more and more occluded, they eventually reach a stage where insufficient volumes of blood are able to reach the smooth muscle cells of the heart. When this point is reached we have what is called cardiac ischemia or lack of oxygen to the heart muscle cells. Cardiac ischemia leads to the formation of a myocardial infarct which basically is a fancy word histologists use to describe death of heart cells when they become oxygen deprived. Simply put, when the coronary arteries become occluded to the point where adequate numbers of oxygen carrying red blood cells are unable to reach the heart muscle cells, the heart muscle cells die and we have what we commonly know as a heart attack.

Now granted Viagra does not cause cardiovascular disease but it should not be used in individuals who are known to have it especially those with any form of coronary athlerosclerosis. Let me explain exactly how Viagra precipitates a heart attack (friends at the FDA please pay attention and quit counting the stuff in those brown envelopes Pfizer gave you).

As it states in the Viagra insert, "In addition to human corpus cavernosum smooth muscle cells, PDE5 is also found in lower concentrations in other tissues including platelets, vascular and visceral smooth muscle, and skeletal muscle. www.viagra.com

So in essence Viagra not only dilates blood vessels in the penis but also dilates blood vessels throughout the body.

So how does this precipitate a heart attack?

Simply put through its GENERALIZED vasodilative effects Viagra reduces the blood pressure throughout the entire body INCLUDING THE BLOOD PRESSURE IN THE CORONARY ARTERIES.

Now if the coronary arteries are already compromised from athlerosclerosis and the cardiac muscle cells are already compromised from not having sufficient numbers of red blood cells being able to pass through them what exactly do you think lowering the blood pressure is going to do to this at risk patient who takes Viagra?

IN ESSENCE VIAGRA CAUSES HEART ATTACKS BY DECREASING THE AMOUNT OF BLOOD WHICH PASSES THROUGH THE ALREADY COMPROMISED CORONARY ARTERIES.

By creating a generalized vasodilative effect from binding to non penile PDE5 sights throughout the body, Viagra drops the blood pressure including the pressure of blood passing through the coronary arteries thus CAUSING a heart attack.

Now this is basic science I am explaining but big $$$ is creating smoke and mirrors to blind the truth.

Oh there have been over 3 million men trying Viagra and 130 deaths are statistically insignificant.
Oh sex is stressful and it is the sex not the Viagra that caused the heart attack.
Oh these guys would have died soon anyways.

The lies go on.

We know that as of mid November that at least 130 deaths were associated with Viagra use.

Do we know how many heart attacks where the patient survived were associated with Viagra use?

Don't fool yourself if you think the answer is no. The FDA and Pfizer has this data and have never released a shred of it to the public.

You don't have to wonder why.
