I've installed a few different versions of Opera on different machines, and never had a problem.

As for IE 4.0 being better than Netscape, I'd say it's a matter of opinion. I like IE 4.0, but I don't see how it's "years ahead" of Netscape 4.0. For several months I used IE 4.0 at home and Netscape 4.0 at work. Not that different, really. Now I'm using Netscape 4.5 in both places. It's very cool.

BTW, don't listen to anyone who tells you that the two browsers are incompatible with each other. I have IE 4.0 installed on both my work and home machines in addition to Netscape, and they can even run at the same time.
