It is my understanding that Boole and Babbage has reached an agreement to be acquired by BMC. Since Boole and Babbage had (allegedly) entered into an exclusive contract with Platinum Technology to not look elsewhere while PLAT was attempting to acquire them, they are now being sued by PLAT for an alleged breach of contract. I have recently read that PLAT has a good case here, but no guarantee that they will win.
