You did say that.

Bill answered the questions as technically accurately as he felt he could/needed to. I don't know if you've ever been deposed, but it's not a process of offering up information. Attorneys usually coach clients to answer only what is asked, to answer truthfully, to make sure you absolutely understand the question, and not to offer up information. Depositions are taken by opposing counsel in order to elicit tidbits of information that could be useful against the other party. What can I say? They did their best to corner him, and he came across as uncomfortable. If you've ever been deposed for 16 hours, you wouldn't find that surprising.

What I find amazing is that the judge allows the DOJ to replay a bit of his deposition just before every witness. That shouldn't even be legal. That's not scales of justice, it's kangaroo court. When the judge isn't laughing at the Mr. Bill show or asking the DOJ counsel if they'd like to object (honestly, he asks), he's busy snoozing. I have no doubt that the courtroom artist has drawings of the judge sleeping. Having first hand knowledge of info in both the DOJ and Sun cases has caused me to lose a great deal of faith in the US justice system. Quite disappointing. I think no matter what the outcome of this trial, there will be an appeal either by MSFT or the DOJ.
