Anyone who has followed John G's short threads for a while can tell you he is a superb financial statement analyst with a keen interest in looking closely at problematic companies. If he and his colleagues short them and they go down, that's the market at work. Quality companies can always survive short attacks. In fact, many thrive on the short squeezes they produce (check out THQI).

So if you are compiling a list of rabid shorts, leave John out of it, OK? His Broken Stocks thread should be recommended reading for everyone on SI.
