Western Cable Show is being held through
December 3 at the Anaheim Convention
Center in California.

"Comcast is looking aggressively at VoIP as a
commercial enterprise," said Steve Craddock,

Comcast Cable Communications, Inc. "We
were very impressed by the robustness of
VEA as a platform for the delivery of IP

the VoIP industry."

In a separate demonstration at the CableNet

VocalTec Gatekeeper interoperating with
other VoIP vendors' gateways and intelligent
end unit devices over an IP cable network.

the direction, tracking and billing of traffic.

"VocalTec is committed to developing
interoperability between our end-to-end IP
telephony solutions and other vendor
products allowing for the advancement of
the burgeoning VoIP cable market," said Dr.
Elon Ganor, chairman at VocalTec
Communications. "Such VoIP vendor and
cable operator demonstrations emphasize
VEA's flexibility as a platform for delivering
multimedia rich IP telephony services over
multiple network types."
