I very seldom see any logic to what the market does. It is clear to me that brokerage houses spend a lot of time crafting ways to upgrade or downgrade stocks for the purpose of maniupulating the markets.
What is the chance of a cat standing still when you slowly move an object in front of it??

Investments companies do the same thing and it is perfectly legal unforntunately. There is one way to beat them at their game and that is to do nothing. Buy good companies for the long haul and ride out the bumps. Active traders are lucky to make pennies.
Patient die hard investors who buy only the big guns and the leaders in their fields are the big winners.

I expect to own Intel Microsoft Coca-Cola and Gillette to name a few for the ten to twenty years and beyond. These are fundamentally solid well managed and profitable industries.
