Voltaire,

Watching CNBC and acting accordingly is very harmful to the financial health of small investors. No, let me make that very very harmful, perhaps with v's and h's in CAPS.

In any case, I just don't get it. Do you mean to say that they - whoever they are - are trying to manipulate the market and the small investor should sell - remember, if only they sell (short, presumably) and they buy, even though the market goes down and then comes back up, they do not make any money on average, and they are presumably not that stupid even though it seems that they assume the small investor to be so - so that they can get in at lower prices and then start talking the market up on CNBC? And the small investor should be happy about this!?

I must be really slow, but I just don't get it.

PS: Have you sent a petition to the European Commission protesting the coordinated rate cuts and consequent worsening the short supply of smiley faces on CNBC which is crucial for the continued well-being of the U.S. stock market?
