Leland,

Thank you for sharing your opinion.

My position is not a short term but a long term one. Nothing can be said about 4th Quarter 96 , except that it was a product transition quarter, sometimes difficult to manage.

I recognize that Post #5 was a bit "too much".

Anyway I think that the most difficult quarter will be 3rd Quarter 1997.

1) The Players will all have established position
2) The 3Q 97 vs 3Q 96 will hardly show a high growth. Simply because
3Q 96 was really good.

Otherwise, I think that an Hardware Company cannot be compared to a software one. Hardware has a production cost. Even if volume reduces production costs, the limit price is not 0.

About Volume : Don't you think that if CISCO had a similar product, it would be able to sell it with high volumes ?

What would your opinion be if CISCO acquired a company like SHIVA ?

I know that I make many hypothesis. Now all we have to do is wait.

At the end of 1997, I will heavily apologise if my analysis was wrong.
