Say it ain't so Larry !

Wall Street analysts said they expected a decision on a new top leader by the end of the year. Several said
EDS might be having trouble attracting suitable candidates, after several possibilities were said to have ruled
out the job.

Merrill Lynch analyst Steve McClellan said that among the heavyweight corporate leaders rumoured to have
been considered were Ray Lane, the chief financial officer of software maker Oracle Corp (Nasdaq:ORCL
- news), and Robert Crandall, the recently retired head of American Airlines.

Other names mentioned were computer services industry veterans George Shaheen, chief executive of
Andersen Consulting, and Larry Weinbach, the head of Unisys Corp. (NYSE:UIS - news), McClellan said.
