Smith Micro Announces Partnership with Panasonic in Germany
Panasonic to Bundle Smith Micro's VideoLink and VideoLink Mail With PC-Camera
Line for Pan-European Video Solution

news) announced today that Matsushita Communication Deutschland GmbH
(Panasonic) is now bundling Smith Micro's VideoLink™ and VideoLink Mail with its
new ''PC-Camera'' color video camera line.
With true multi-language support, which includes French, Italian, German, Spanish, and
English, VideoLink and VideoLink Mail help PC users around the world communicate
visually. The combination of Smith Micro's software and Panasonic's PC-Camera,
which provides high-resolution video images in brilliant 24-bit color, creates a fully
integrated cost-effective video e-mail and video conferencing solution that can be used
throughout Europe.

Windows users to easily record a video and audio message, then attach it to their
everyday e-mail messages.
Designed to be used on top of a PC monitor on a tilt-and-swivel base, Panasonic's
PC-Camera desktop video camera produces high quality video images with 542 x 586
pixels, and an impressive 330 TV lines of horizontal resolution. The new PC-camera
simultaneously records audio and video through its omni-directional microphone and its
built-in adjustable-focus camera lens which can focus on objects as close as 100 mm. In
addition to providing a low-cost ''picture-phone'' solution for both home and business,
PC-Camera also captures high-resolution still color images and connects directly to a
