Internet Content Provider In Chinese/English Will Offer Smith Micro's New All-in-One Internet Communications Software to Subscribers
ALISO VIEJO, Calif., Dec. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Smith Micro Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: SMSI - news) today announced an agreement with McGeorge Productions, Inc., an Internet Content Provider of Chinese/English services with a focus on the U.S. market. Under the terms of the new pact, Los Angeles-based McGeorge Productions will offer Smith Micro's new Internet CommSuiteâ„¢ to both new and existing subscribers.
Internet CommSuite is a new, all-in-one Internet communications package that merges multiple Web communications into one fully integrated, easy-to-use package. Internet CommSuite enables users to phone, fax, video phone, send audio and video e-mail and conduct other interactive activities, such as video security, over the Internet -- with a single piece of communications software. Internet CommSuite is optimized for both traditional analog modems and newer broadband technologies such as cable and xDSL.
McGeorge Productions will use Smith Micro's software to provide even greater value to its customers in the U.S., Taiwan, Hong Kong and China. ''We selected Internet CommSuite because it's a powerful and affordable solution that effectively provides all of the communications functionality that users need in a single, tightly integrated package,'' said Dandy Lin, General Manager of McGeorge Productions. ''We see it as being well-suited for use in supporting the Chinese language market, because its built-in voice support provides users with the opportunity to ultimately replace time-consuming keyboard-based text e-mail responses with simple voice-based communications instead.''
''We are pleased to be aligned with McGeorge Productions in this bundle relationship, because it clearly demonstrates the viability of Internet CommSuite as a solution for ISPs with a niche market orientation,'' said Daniel D. Sheppard, Smith Micro's Executive Vice President and COO. ''Internet CommSuite's fully integrated design, combined with its exceptional ease-of-use makes it an ideal solution for McGeorge Productions' rapidly growing customer base in both the U.S. and Asian markets.''
Internet CommSuite gives users all the software capabilities needed to talk for free over the Internet, make Internet video phone calls, send Internet faxes that bypass long-distance phone charges, create audio or audio/video e-mails, use an Internet answering machine, and more. All functions are activated from a single-click, easy-to-use software interface that resembles a TV remote control.
