Router Sales Flat in 3Qtr 98 because of transition to multi voice and data devices. IMO, this trend favors Nortel.

PORTOLA VALLEY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 3, 1998--Router sales grew $106 million Q/Q to $1.48 billion and
Remote Access sales grew $45 million Q/Q to $616 million in 3Q98 -- 8 percent growth Q/Q for both markets,
according to the Dell'Oro Group's 3Q98 report released in mid-November.

The Router & Remote Access markets have been flat since early 1997 due to products transitioning from data-only
devices to multi-service voice and data devices.
