" You are confusing your conception of "value investors" and the really hard working kind that have practiced this craft over the years - and Charlie Munger & Warren Buffett are the best of this class. They are not "old boy" networked guys - although their immense success has placed them in that inner circle - financially if not physically. These two in particular know how to not only ferret out good values, but also how to purchase companies and manage them, when required. Buffett's success in rescuing Salomon Brothers is a good example of the latter. Paul
