I was at the library yesterday, and there was mention of Ciena in the Dec 7 Business Week. It was in the "Looking Through Glass" article. It's in there....right after the sentence mentioning Lucent. A bunch of other telecom stocks were mentioned, but the main idea was that fiberoptics was getting hot and set to explode in the future.
That and probably hopefully earnings surprises to come are reasons why CIEN's stock price is going up.

JMHO but WDIK.
