Lord,
Let me try and help. CCUR is the server. What that means is CCUR's computer is AT THE CABLE COMPANY. The SFA set top boxes (or any set top box) communicates with the CCUR computer. The SFA box is in your home and the CCUR box is at the cable company. BOTH are necessary pieces to be used. You do not compare the SFA box to CCUR. You compare the SFA box to the GIC,Pioneer, and other SET TOP BOXES. All the set top boxes will need to communicate to a VIDEO SERVER at the cable company (in other words CCUR's server).

Does this help ?
