As far as publically traded pure video game companies? I would say Interplay (IPLY) is in play (do not own any stock). They have a couple of good studios including VR Sports, now Interplay Sports, which could certainly add to THQ core competencies - help fill a void (a lack of sports titles - wrestling doesn't count). This is a similar situation to Microprose a few months ago - however Microprose had a better branded catalog than IPLY. Lapin was brought in for acquisition purposes and the German distributor surely wasn't it - it will be interesting to see what happens in '99 - all comments my opinion only.
