All,

Here is news on EXBT.

BOULDER, Colo., Jan. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Exabyte Corp today reported that the Exabyte EXB-8700LT is now available
to end users within the United States for a street price of under $1,000. The highly reliable, field proven, 8mm tape drive is
designed for high-end desktop and network applications, has a capacity of 10GB (compressed) and a transfer rate of 60 MB
per minute.*

"Our goal with the 8mm value line is not only to remain extremely competitive with the DAT DDS-2 market, but also to make
it easy for virtually anyone to move into the 8mm technology Exabyte has been perfecting for over 11 years," said Julia Ball,
business line manager of 8mm value line products for Exabyte. "We feel any storage buyer should have access to the
reliability, compatibility and upgradeability that Exabyte drives offer, and this new pricing makes 8mm a reality for many
storage users."

The EXB-8700LT is part of a complete family of value line products that Exabyte offers. This line focuses on providing
affordable back up solutions utilizing 8mm technology. Another benefit of the EXB-8700LT is the media. EXATAPE(TM)
8mm data cartridges are readily available and significantly more cost effective than the 4mm DAT counterpart. For example,
Exabyte's 10GB, 112 meter EXATAPE(TM) costs approximately $8.00 while an 8GB, 120 meter DDS-2 tape costs
approximately $20.00. This equates to a cost per gigabyte of $.80/GB for 8mm versus $2.50/GB for 4mm.

"Exabyte's 8mm drives and media are available immediately and the complete product family they offer insures a growth path
for customer's as their capacity and performance needs increase," said John Marks, vice president of purchasing for Hartford
Computer Group, a reseller for Exabyte.

Exabyte's 8mm tape drives, and 8mm and 4mm tape libraries, offer data storage capacities ranging from 7 gigabytes to 3.2
terabytes. Exabyte storage products address the need for reliable, cost-effective and compact data storage in the
fastest-growing segments of the computer industry, including departmental and application servers. Within these segments,
Exabyte products perform unattended backup and a host of other storage applications, such as automated storage
management, near-online storage, archiving and data collection. Exabyte has a worldwide installed base of over 1 million
8mm tape drives.

Headquartered in Boulder, Colo., Exabyte Corporation designs, manufactures and markets a full range of storage products:
8mm and minicartridge tape drives, 8mm and 4mm tape libraries and recording media. Exabyte is the world's largest
independent manufacturer focused solely of tape storage and storage automation products, which it markets through OEMs,
distributors and resellers.
