Unlike LindyBill, I have excellent service from my @home system. Faster speeds through the provider bog down when they reach a sluggish server at the URL, so to get reliable faster speeds the entire system needs upgrading. This means that the solution to slow internet speeds isn't under the control of any one company. The entire internet sector is priced as if the sharp up slope of the "S" adoption curve will last forever. It won't.
