Talk about earnings surprises... if today's double whammy of market share news (Nokia at 40% in *both* Europe and USA at the end of 3Q) holds true the repercussions will rock the mobile telecom sector for months to come. This is a shocker of epic proportions. How could Ericsson lose it so thoroughly with still 3-4 months to go until their new phone introductions? How can Qualcomm halve its US market share in a year while it is "capacity constrained"? What's going on in the US market when Nokia and Motorola both double their market share even without hot CDMA models? Is Motorola really pushing 20% in Europe? This is getting pretty dramatic.
