ESV is a driller. They don't own the oil they pump, they are contracted by companies to drill. Hope this helps. In other words, no, they would not hedge oil prices since they don't get paid by the price of oil. They get paid a contract price for their rigs or boats. Someone correct me if i'm off base.....
