Leaving the rest aside for the moment, brees, want to explain this?
As a citizen of the Universe and this country the "Chrisian Nation" rant is cute. It is an issue of patriotism, used by you and the Christian Right Wing, to establish unrealistic fear or blind loyalty to political machinations.
On a flippant note, I have to ask if you were a child of the Universe before you became a citizen? Sounds like you might be a "one world government" type, which might get you in more trouble around here. There was a parody of the Desiderata that I preferred to the original, cynical as I am.
Slightly more seriously, I'd say your trying to have it both ways. The "Christian Nation" thing is to be feared, but not unrealistically? Or is it so improbable that it can be safely ignored? Is being sarcastic about it "fear mongering", in the K sense? Perhaps you could take that up with the inerrant Bible crowd, I'm confused once again. Without some indication that that's not really what's driving the Republican moral reformation wing, I will continue to regard "Christian Nation" politics seriously, if not respectfully. |
