Michael, I see you have a lot of sense and ski The Bird. I hope you take the time to go a few more miles up the road and ski Alta. Pronounced Al-ta not All-ta; if you say it wrong the locals won't tell you where the really good powder snow is. There is something quite Zen about skiing powder, the less you fight it the easier it is. (This is the Asia thread after all)

Utah powder is magical. Something must happen to those clouds as they cross the deserts of the Great Basin and then the waters of the Great Salt Lake because when they hit those beautiful Wasatch mountains they drop the lightest, fluffiest powder that has ever existed. Am I making you day dream yet? <g>
