Wendy, it real gold, but what they use with it, methotrexate, is a chemotherapeutic drug, with "unpleasant" side effects. Only the most severe type of RA should really be treated this way (if it proves itself). As for the price of gold, with the tonnes of gold still in the CB, and a new master currency (the EU) available as a reserve bearing interest, I think additional gold is going to come on the market from those CB. By the way, even if you get a million people using a milligram of gold daily (and that is probably 100 times more then the doses allowed), you'll get additional usage of just .36 tonnes annually.
