SATH..yes. I should have put SATH on as a 'watch and keep in your datebase' and not as a watch list candidate. Since I am personally 'perfectionist' in nature it was a self directed criticism. But there were at least 10 others worthier and higher up on that list. I still like SATH, and GEND and these companies and they will remain hi flyers
It so happens I advocated 'puts' buying as well yesterday and have
picked up some puts in some major internet hi-flyers this morning.

You just reminded me of a sad letter I got this morning from someone he said he bought into EGGS, MALL, and BAMM,ONSL because 'he did not want to miss out and was affected not as much by the exhiliration and enthusiasm of some posters with these but rather of their 'prognostications' of future price rises. He especially mentioned the stock threads and YHOO message boards.

I am glad to have had MALL, EGGS,DRIV, CKFR, GNET, SATH on my watch list at the right time BEFORE they ran up then giving high profits... but risk management should be used and discipline applied.. they can't go up forever. That is the reason I feel earnings plays are important, or any play on a 'good' solid stock.

In an "earnings play" you have a 'real' stock here with a particular earnings acceleration and velocity that will be growing quarter after quarter. Stocks like CMVT, FHT, CHCS, JDEC, INTV and the like fall into that category. You have to separate these from the hi-flyers that are a flash in the pan for 1-2 days..
