Ron & all, thanks for your informative replies. IMHO healthaxis.com sounds like a winning "channel" concept, perhaps on par with MMC's insnet for non-health related insurance. Their portal & banner link deals are a sign of confidence. The fact that they stripped off their own health insurance subsidiary I could interpret as an effort to convince other carriers to get on board by sending a message of integration rather than competition to them. Fortis/AMEV is a European heavyweight. I heard they have an emphasis on college health insurance and related products. This is a fine Dutch company. anyway, I feel rather confident having jumped onboard. Rewards should come over the next year. Normally, the market rewards pioneers.
