Apratim - You are forgetting one of the most valuable forms of profit. TIME. A couple of MM's might not be in a position to take advantage of a particular hot sector like Tech because of their commitments to say the transports. all they have to do is take any one of the big four DELL, INTC, MSFT or CSCO and saddle it. Lets say there are an average of 30 million shares traded per day. They can take 15 million shares of DELL out of their inventories and trade it all day long or as much as they need to until they are ready to buy. This is not hard to do. Look back at how DELL acted the last couple of weeks when INTC, MSFT, and CSCO were climbing. You must also remember PRICE is a factor. If you are going to manipulate a stock, you want it at a price that is equitable for participation. A stock at $65 fills this criteria. The third thing is AGENDA. What is our AGENDA, to make money from the options, shorts or longs or all of the above. What stock gives us the best opportunity to do this, sorry but DELL fits most of the above criteria. It is TIME and ENTRY PRICE that is dictating the fall of the DOW. Notice how Brazil is a problem again. Hell nothing has changed in Brazil, they have to have something to kick start their AGENDA. Oh well, just my view.

As for POST LIKE MINE. Haven't seen any.

You do stimulate my thinking though.
