I was reading the slides at the end which suggested
that is the direction they are going. Perhaps I
am reading between the lines :-) However, the other
references you provided virtually confirm it. Not
the NT clusters, but the SGI supercomputer clusters.

I know these folks from my earlier days in scientific
computing. Larry Smarr is not going economy ride.
They want bandwidth and scalability whatever the cost.

NCSA singing Ancor praises is a major coup. Furthermore
I am certain that Brocade tried very hard to get their
switches inside these racks. Academic centers and
industry have a tendency of cloning these configurations
over and over again.

I just bought some more stock before the close...
