The current issue of Mutual Funds magazine features the Asia recovery. Several mutual fund managers are interviewed.

Mark Holowesko of Templeton, in answer to question,"so people tend to tar all of Asia with the same brush?", replied,"Absolutely. Indonesia does have crony capitalism. But Hong Kong has British capitalism, a good legal system, and it's relatively shareholder friendly. There is a massive difference between Indonesia and Hong Kong."

Mark Hedley of Matthews Pacific Tiger said, "No one is going to lend money to Thailand again in our lifetime." The Matthews fund is essentially staying clear of Malaysia and Indonesia - which says Hedley,"is a total circus."

Landry of the Ivy Developing Nations Fund is investing a lot in Australia and New Zealand because those countries didn't participate in the extraordinary expansion that bedeviled most of the region.

From the forgoing comments, it looks like FFS may recover long before CPPKY.
