"again, bad timing on ANTEC's part to announce a cable modem deal right when the TCI Fremont cable modem problems are getting lots of press"

DenverTechie,
I must be out of it, because I don't recall the TCI problem? Can you fill us in on what you personally make of the problem?

I agree that this is a knee-jerk hit. Most investors run when they hear, "Warning." Antec has a strange way of announcing them and an even stranger, timing of them. It's really too bad because they don't really need to take these substantial hits. If they would time their announcements a little better, than it can make a world of difference to their shareholders.

I'm fairly confident of next year's earnings, so I'm using the hit to average down. My only fear is an overall meltdown in the market AND the FCC putting a jinx on the AT&T/TCI combo. But what else is new?

For those new to this thread, if you believe HFC(Hybrid Fiber Coaxial) and the MSOs (Cable companies) are going to win the "Last Mile" battle, then ANTC is one of the absolutely best ways (IMHO) to play this theme.
