i'm not entirely sure how a lot of the formalities usually take place but i can only guess at their intentions re: stock splits:

they probably want to increase the shares outstanding so they can do stock splits in the future - perhaps the increase they want to do is meant to accomodate other future splits and other stock offerings so it may be possible that cmgi's next split may just be a 2 for 1?

right now, with the possibility of the markets correcting more - who knows, we may not get a split at all this month - they may want to get a more stable price first - just my guess for what it's worth

it must be difficult to plan ipos and splits in these current markets, it seems that ever since spring, internets have been in a frenzy, either UP or DOWN - LOL

i think it pays to play lot of puts and calls all the time - hold on for the ride tomorrow either up or down, m
