The Prevue announcement is so much larger than it appears on the surface. What it means is that ACTV is being integrated into HITS(Head End In The Sky). Within a couple of weeks ACTV technology can be delivered to every set-top box in North America. Advertising, The Box Music Network, PPV events etc. can all be delivered to everyone with a box on the continent. Many of you have been wondering why the rollout has been delayed. It has been because of HITS. Problem solved. TCI/liberty/Fox all are behind us 100%. Once the integration process is complete, look for a rollout. TCI evidently, wanted all the billing to go through Denver. That is why there was this delay with a launch that is "regional" in nature. Theoretically, the signal for all 22 regionals would be feasible with the integration of HITS, however, regional control facilities would be needed. Any channels or events that are national in nature will be ready.
