I must agree with you that the gold based EU will present a perhaps rather serious problem for the "free floating dollar". While our ineffective government wrestles withe the morals of our elected leader, the world continues, and we are left with the results of the latest "presidential tryst"! We have anarchy in the streets and the politicians "fiddle" while "Rome Burns"! This will come to roost soon, and it will be not a subjct to be denied by any!!
As you all know, I tend to the negative in some subjects, but what we have is the confluence of many sins, and those will perhaps all come to roost at the same time as the "YK2" problem!!
Envision a confluence of the "Japan denial of reality" coupled with the "ASIA" PROBLEM, coupled with a US realization that it is "REAL", coupled with the corporate "Head in the sand, Merge and get more efficient, while fireing all american worker' mentality.
So the greatest consumer nation is out of work and working at Macdonalds and the second greatest consumer nation is in the greatest depression of 3 decades and the third world nations are in chaos--
I agree, we should look to Europe, ?
Good currency, but look a little deeper?
Perhaps a few years down the road "Irish real estate" or "land in New Zealand"--
I understand that I have been slightly negative here, and I like some communication and drug issues, but, lets get real, we got a lot of tough stuff to get through here, and the world is not at all rosy!!!
