The documentary clearly stated that "everyone" in the 20's was playing the market, shoeshine boys, mailroom clerks, etc. I think you can clearly draw some strong comparisons to the speculation vs. investment sentiments we see now and in the 1920's. I see no reason for AMD to rise 100% over the past few months for instance. I don't recall saying that Intel would lead a crash, you're jumping to conclusions, but I do look at the INTC chart and wonder at what point it will plateau. I'd rather see slow stable price increases rather that these huge jumps that make me nervous about big blocks of stock being traded. What the institutions give, they can easily take away.

If you watched the first documentary, you'd have also seen some of the excerpts from the Iomega board. Comments that are downright scary, like "I've put all my money into this stock and its going to put my kids through school" or "I'm going to retire on this stock". I've seen plenty of that on this thread and it concerns me deeply.
