Got another comment on the internal meeting. This lady told me EP emphasized reducing internal cycle times on all mfg not just direct, said direct was filling over 1/3 of orders same day and average in 3 days, wanted to challenge mfg to hit similar numbers for commercial CTO to channel. EP made a slip at one point - meant to say 'we have to live in short cycles' but instead said 'we have to love in short cycles' - stopped when meeting broke into spontaneous laughter - then said 'well, with the hours we have been working, we may have to do the other too...' - standing round of applause.

She also emphasized the very relaxed and confident nature of the discussion, said many hard questions were asked and EP answered without hesitation, discussed what had to be done without any defensiveness, everyone very upbeat. She said EP talked about AV and internet business but would not tell me what he said... Only that she was 'surprised and impressed' with his thinking. Maybe more in his speech today?
