I'll grant that every little bit counts and, as the story gradually unfolds , all the bits will add up to something significant and a smartly higher stock price for ACTV. The following is a news item a nonmember E-mailer requested that I post for board comment.

Paul Allen invests in interactive TV company
ANAHEIM, Calif. (Reuters) - Wink Communications Inc. Thursday said that
Vulcan Ventures, a firm owned by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, will
invest $10 million in the California-based interactive television
communications firm.

As part of the deal, Wink technology will be used in Vulcan-owned cable
systems, including Charter Communications and Marcus Cable.

Further terms of the deals were not disclosed.

''Wink is very pleased with Paul Allen's investment in the company,'' Wink
Chief Executive Officer Maggie Wilderotter said.

''This is a material endorsement of the Wink technology from a foremost
leader in new media,'' she said.

Wink provides interactive television communications services. The company
recently decided to withdraw its initial public offering. It had planned to
go public in a deal worth up to $75 million and expected to trade on Nasdaq
under the symbol.

Vulcan Ventures Inc., based in Bellevue, Wash., was founded by billionaire
Allen in 1986 and is his main investment vehicle.
