I am short in US and longish in Australia. Maybe you can clarify for me on this "Money Market" stuff. Why do people suppose this money is waiting to get into the stock market? Some may be in brokerage accounts but a lot would be in standalone accounts? It could go buy anything without any difficult. Pay off the credit card bill? That's what I often do with a money market account I have here in Australia (known as a cash management trust here).

I'm not so sure about "demographics". In the long run IMO there has also to be a supply of earnings to support that demand. Unless one thinks stock prices have nothing to do with earnings.
