Never mind... I should have done my homework first. A quick view of their platform diagram at:

morecom.com

... demonstrates that they will integrate both the digital spectrum and cable modem techs. I'll read the material first, next time ;-)

Be sure to click on "expand image view" if you go to that drawing.

Also, note the absence of anything that speaks to Internet Voice. Do you suppose that this can be attributed to the time lapse between initial platform conceptualization, and current-day buzz? I would have expected to see hooks by now at both the head end (to the PSTN or some other cloud-like structure supporting voice), and at least a voip client embedded in the cablemodem section. Nothing.

I suppose that will be an option of the user, or another of the cableco's offerings. No chance of conflicts there. Right?

And what does this kind of delivery capability do to an architecture whose gatekeepers are already imposing limitations by way of use restrictions and bandwidth/throughput allocations in order to ensure a level of "fairness" for all users on the last-mile shared facility? Comments are welcome.
