Smoothing earnings is a (bad, but) long accepted practice. Coke and McDonalds are two great examples. I don't think anyone (with a brain) is going to short COMS, K, GM or LU on a fundamental basis. With regards to NOVL, revenues will be the driver short term. Sequential quarterly revenue growth has been very good. With 40 million installed base, revenue growth, and Win2000 not coming out until 2000, NOVL is not a good short candidate, though the accounting must be watched.

I am very happy with FHT and thank MP. But, with all do respect, I don't think he nor his associated have the muscle to move NOVL's stock, even if they/he wanted to.
