I believe you are correct about the "F", but, more to the point Andy is right on target regarding small Canadian companies. The track record isn't pretty in a lot of cases... with alot of FUD and too often outright fraud. Hopefully, SSPIF isn't in that category, but, until it gets a higher profile, starts to generate real, verfied, revenue and profit growth its going to trade at a discount compared to similar U.S. company's. There is also the silly nationalism that afflicts Canada in this regard. Takeover's of Canadian co's by U.S. or other foreign co's is both difficult and frowned upon by provincial and federal authoriities in Canada. Knowing this the market also discounts the value it will assign to small tech co's since their ability to be acquired by larger U.S. co's is not as great as it would be if they were a U.S. co.

If you think I'm wrong about this, you only have to read the NN or NT threads to see how concerned many Canadians are at any discussion of a takeover by a U.S. company.
