Back up generator systems abound throughout corporations that rely on electricity. Electric companies certainly have the resources, both financial and administratively, to deal with y2k, I would seriously doubt that stockholders and owners would have jeopardized their existence by not anticipating and converting to y2k compliant software. Even the trucking industry has largely either converted or have plans to be compliant by the 2nd quarter of 1999.
