The time to short a momentum stock like AWRE is when it has leveled out at an extremely high valuation. AWRE has not leveled out, nor is its valuation at an extreme. My own analysis suggests the valuation is high, but it is not ionospheric. I think AWRE can go to 32 on momentum buying and upgrades, plus short covering. If it settles at 32, it will begin to be picked off for the valuation. After a move from 5 to 32, many will be willing to take profits. Also, by that time, there will be more visibilty into the royalty structure.

Don't short it now. If you want to exit, then it's fine to take profits, but shorting this stock is asking for trouble. If you must be "short," at least do it by buying some long time frame, out of the money puts.
